What type of boating can we expect?
We’ll be paddling a ton of rivers. Seriously, pucon has a completely different style of river for every day of the week.
The Palguin is the classic waterfall section. An amazing river to get our free-falling technique dialed.
Rio Claro has crystal-clear waters, epic rapids/waterfalls, and stunning basalt rock canyons. Truly one of the best rivers in the world.
Rio Puesco is a very continuous boulder garden. Absolutely spectacular section to get our read and run technique to the next level.
Trancura is our big water run.
Nevados is the most technical steep creeking run in town.
Fuy is a smaller version of the Futa with waterfalls. Expect a ton of the highest quality boating.
Where are we staying?
We’ll be staying at the river lodge by rio Liucura.
Incredible views of the volcano, river side, amazing accommodation, a quiet and relaxing spot outside of town. We can paddle all day and get back to our spot in the afternoon to enjoy great meals, sauna and hot tub time while looking at a beautiful sunset. Truly one of the most epic spots in Pucon.
What food can I expect?
We go out of our way to make sure that all ingredients on the table are produced locally.
You can expect a wide variety of local and international dishes that our cook will prepare with lots of love. We also have gluten free, vegetarians and vegan options.
Our goal is to keep you very well fed, with healthy and tasty meals throughout the entire program.
What skill level is required?
We always do our best to adapt to the group abilities. But to truly enjoy the Pucon classics you should have a solid roll and be comfortable with some technical creeking. Class IV skills are ideal.
What subjects are covered during lessons?
Reading whitewater, paddle stroke, fear management, safety and rescue, boof and roll technique are some of them.
What is the maximum group size?
We only offer 6 spots per tour. We use personalized learning strategies and make sure participants can improve their skills in a secure environment.
How do I get there?
You will have to book a flight to Santiago de Chile (SCL), Arturo Merino Benítez international airport. From there you must fly to the city of Temuco (ZCO) with a domestic flight.
Latam or SKY are the main airline companies operating domestic flights within Chile.
We’ll pick you up at the airport the morning of you arrival.
How much kayaking should I expect?
We generally go out for two 2-hour sessions a day unless combined with a trek. We like to go on some hikes to mix it up and give the body some rest.
What is not included?
Flights and personal kayaking gear (helmet, dry wear, lifejacket, spray skirt)
